(MPI) – On August 03rd 2017, at the headquarters of the MPI, Deputy Minister Nguyen The Phuong had a meeting with Mr. Charles J. Mwijage, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment of Tanzania visiting and working in Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Charles J. Mwijage highly appreciated Vietnam – Tanzania relations and cooperation on such fields as economy and meetings of enterprise. He also highly appreciated foreign affairs policies of Vietnam, including cooperation with African countries in general and Tanzania in particular. Due to its economic reform policies, Tanzania is one of the fastest growth economies within over the last decade.
The Minister of Tanzania hoped Vietnam’s enterprises to continue directly investing or venturing into Tanzania, especially in economic zones, industrial zones and new fields with prioritized development. Tanzania’d like to listen to the sharing on experiences and techology in cultivation of rice, aquaculture, agriculture… which are fields using many labors and advantages of Tanzania.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen The Phuong expressed his delight in the Vietnam – Tanzania cooperation. He hoped that the two sides would finish the negotiation soon and sign the Avoidance of double taxation Agreement and Agreement on Encouragement and reciprocal protection of investment in order to promote Vietnam – Tanzania investment and trade relations, create new investment opportunities based on the potentials and advantages of the two countries. The Deputy Minister also desired Tanzania Government to facilitate Vietnam’s enterprises to do their business in Tanzania./.
