(MPI) - Korea supports Vietnam to strengthen SOE reform through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on May 24 between the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Korea in order to strengthen cooperation and continue to implement activities supporting Korean SOEs in Vietnam.
Mr. Le Manh Hung and Mr. Kang Sung Jun signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
The signing ceremony was taken place between the Deputy Director General of Enterprise Development Agency, Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, Le Manh Hung and the Director General of Public Institutions Policy Bureau, Ministry of Economy and Finance of South Korea, Kang Sung Jun.
The MOU includes cooperation contents, in which Korea will help to find resources to support Vietnam in sharing Korea’s knowledge and experience in SOE reform; sending Korean experts to Vietnam to support and share experiences in SOE reform; and supporting to expand the investment activities of Korean SOEs in Vietnam through organizing SOEs’ CEO meetings between the two countries…
Regarding budget and financial resources to implement the contents of MOU, the Korean side committed to allocate financial resources to carry out MOU activities. Therefore, Vietnam will benefit in implementation of these cooperation activities that not require its own financial resources.
