Under the leadership of the Party and the Government and the participation of the whole political system, the results that Vietnam has achieved in recent years are very positive and highly appreciated by the international community. Vietnam continues to strengthen measures to prevent and combat Covid-19.

The current situation remains very complicated. Besides preventing and curbing the pandemic, Vietnam also needs solutions to support those affected by the pandemic such as businesses and workers to really overcome this crisis. To further promote investment between Vietnam and Japan, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung brought forward four proposals. Firstly, Japanese organizations can examine the impact and assessment of the epidemic on Japanese businesses, making recommendations for the Government of Vietnam to support. Secondly, they can coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment to review and solve the problems of ODA projects for each project, thereby pushing up the projects’ implementation through the establishment of a working group to remove difficulties.

Third, Vietnam expects the Japanese Government to consider supporting Vietnam in combating the Covid-19 pandemic, overcoming the consequences and developing stably in the coming time. Fourth, Vietnam is developing a National Innovation Center and hopes that the Japanese Government and Japanese Embassy in Vietnam will provide a grant to promote its development.
