Result of a survey on Non-farm individual business establisment 2010
The enterprise sector and the Non-farm individual business establishment (NFIDBE) areas are the two important sectors in Vietnam’s economy. The NFIDBE area is a typical character for Vietnam’s economy, which formed and developed from a long time ago, contributed positively to the economic development more and more, generated millions of jobs for the people and to the elimination of the hunger and the reduction of the poverty. In order to meet the requirements of data, the General Statistics Office (GSO) compiles and publishes the present volume entitled: “Results of a survey on non-farm individual business establishments 2010” which covers information on the real situation of non-farm individual business sector in our country on the basis of updating and incorporating information and data from the annual survey conducted by the GSO.

Statistical Yearbook of Vietnam 2010
The Statistical Yearbook, an annual publication by the General Statistics Office, comprises basic data reflecting the general socio-economic dynamic and situation of Vietnam. In addition, there are statistics of some countries and territories in the world to provide reference information for studies and international comparison. In this release, data by kinds of economic activities are disaggregated by Vietnam Standard Industrial Classification which is promulgated under Decision No. 10/2007/QD-TTg dated January 23rd 2007 by the Prime Minister (VSIC-2007). At the same time, on implementing the National Statistical Indicator System issued under Decision No. 43/2010/QD-TTg dated June 2nd 2010 by the Prime Minister, the General Statistics Office has added a number of tables and indicators to meet better the needs of data users.

Business results of all enterprises of Viet Nam in 2009
In order to provide the general picture on results of annual enterprises to all institutions, researchers, other national and international users, The General Statistics Office publishes “Business Results of all enterprises of Vietnam in 2009”. Information in this publication is compiled in line with both classifications: (1) Old Vietnamese Standard Industrial Classification - VSIC 1993 and (2) New Vietnamese Standard Industrial Classification -VISIC2007. The publication includes 2 volumes: - Volume 1: Business results of all enterprises of Vietnam in 2007, 2008, 2009 by old Vietnamese Standard Industrial Classification - VSIC 1993. - Volume 2: Business results of all enterprises of Vietnam in 2007, 2008, 2009 by new Vietnamese Standard Industrial Classification -VSIC 2007.

The 2009 Population and Housing Census was implemented at 0 am on 01 April, 2009 according to the Prime Ministerial Decision No. 94/2008/QD-TTg dated 10 July, 2008. This was the fourth population census and the third housing census implemented in Vietnam since its reunification in 1975. Based on primary data source collected from Customs Declarations and provided by the General Department of Customs as well as from additional sources, General Statistics Office published the annual "Vietnam International Merchandise Trade 2007" in order to meet better data of users.
