Welcoming Takebe to visit and work with the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), Deputy Minister stressed that the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan is flourishing in various spheres, and thanking Takebe for his contributions to effectively enhancing the two countries’ ties over the past time.
He expressed his hope that the Japanese official will continue raising his voice to further promote the cooperative activities between both nations to bring it on par with its Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World.
For his part, Takeke expressed his condolences to Vietnamese people over losses caused by the Typhoon Yagi.
He shared about the preparation of the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam-Japan University (VJU) establishment, which is scheduled in this October at the National Innovation Centre (NIC) at Hoa Lac Hi-tech Park.
The VJU, under the Vietnam National University, was established in 2014 based on the joint statement between Vietnam and Japan on jointly building an international-class university, and also is a symbol of the two countries’ friendship and cooperation.
Deputy Minister Phuong believed that the 10th anniversary of the VJU will be organised successfully, contributing to enhancing the cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in the fields of education-training and human resource training.
The MPI will coordinate closely with the Vietnam National University and relevant agencies to ensure the event’s activities took place smoothly, he said, adding his hope that the activities within the VJU’s 10th anniversary will be linked with the fifth anniversary of the NIC and Innovate Vietnam 2024, which is also held in October./.
