Regarding quarantine for experts, Minister Dung informed that the Vietnamese Government had issued provisional regulations on “safety, flexibility, and effective control of COVID-19 pandemic”, which created conditions for foreign experts to enter Vietnam while ensuring pandemic prevention. At present, a lot of experts and businesses have returned to Vietnam.
Regarding the fields that enterprises wished to expand their investment, such as food and supermarket, Minister Dung considered these fields as completely potential in Vietnam. Prefectural enterprises can cooperate with Vietnamese firms to provide imported and exported food and franchise expansion. Some Vietnamese firms in the food industry also attended the meeting, and they hoped that the two sides would have chances to promote connection and investment cooperation for mutual success.
As emphasized by Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, to make use of Vietnam’s cooperation prospects, Kanagawa Prefecture is expected to screen for fields and strengths of their enterprises that match Vietnam’s demands, so as to link and expand investment and business, and for a more active cultural and political relationship on the basis of economic development. Economic, trading and investment activities are also needed to be improved in parallel with the Vietnam - Japan close relationship. It is also anticipated that the prefectural enterprises would soon visit Vietnam to perform investment activities, and promote Kanagawa Prefecture and Vietnam relationship to a new height. Minister Dung believed and hoped that Kanagawa Prefecture would make more contributions to the Vietnam - Japan relations.
Vietnam commits to create favorable conditions for Kanagawa Prefecture’s enterprises in particular, and Japan in general for their successful, sustainable and durable investment in Vietnam. Vietnam believes that the mutual comprehensive partnership would be a linkage and solid foundation for localities and enterprises of the two nations to connect, cooperate and jointly develop./.

Strongly influenced by Tokyo - the center of economic activities, government-designated cities such as Kawasaki and Yokohama are crucial representatives of Japan and are promoting the economic activities of Kanagawa Prefecture. Moreover, Yokohama City has become an international city thanks to its large ports, such as Yokohama port, and its active trade since a long time ago.
