CEO of Nestlé Vietnam Binu Jacob expressed his gratitude to the Vietnamese Government and the MPI for their valuable support for Nestlé Vietnam over the past time.
Established in 1995, Nestlé Vietnam is the largest Swiss investor in Vietnam. Nescafé Plan is one of Nestlé Vietnam’s notable programs deployed in 2011, aiming to improve the livelihoods of farmers and enhance the well-being of farming communities in Vietnam. Nestlé purchases 20-25% of total Vietnam’s annual coffee output to serve both domestic and overseas markets, remaining the largest coffee buyer in Vietnam. All Nescafé products are made from 100% high-quality Vietnamese coffee beans, which are exported to many markets globally.
Nestlé Vietnam has continued to expand their investment activities ever since, and has committed its long-term investment and contribution to sustainable and inclusive development of Vietnam. Binu Jacob anticipated to continue accompanying Vietnam for the mutual development of both Nestlé Vietnam and the Vietnamese market in the future.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Tran Duy Dong congratulated CEO Binu Jacob on receiving his task in Vietnam and believed that he would successfully fulfil his new working term. The Deputy Minister also expressed his appreciation to Nestlé Vietnam’s efforts in promoting Vietnamese coffee products worldwide.
It was anticipated that Nestlé Vietnam would continue to expand their investment activities with new projects in Vietnam in the coming time. The MPI will coordinate with relevant localities to create favorable conditions for Nestlé regarding local business and production./.
