Sharing Vietnam’s socio-economic situation in 2021 and the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the 2021-2025, Director Pham Hoang Mai informed that the growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) for 2021 was about 2.58%. Notably, Vietnam has developed and approved the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the 2021-2025, aiming to become a developing country with modernity-oriented industry, surpassing the lower-middle-income level.

For her part, Magali CESANA affirmed that despite the negative impacts of the pandemic, cooperation with Vietnam was still among priorities of France.

In particularly, the official visit to France by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh was a milestone in the bilateral relations of the two nations, demonstrating France’s commitment to enhancing investment, economic and trade cooperation with Vietnam.

The two sides exchanged notes on bilateral cooperation such as programmes and projects funded by French ODA, particularly the urban railway No.3 in Hanoi, which is considered a symbol of Vietnam-France ties and expected to be put into operation at the end of this year./.
