At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc highly appreciated UNDP in supporting and implementing activities in collaboration with the MPI in recent years. The Deputy Minister said that the CPEIR was essential in demonstrating the transparency and accountability of Vietnamese agencies to the international community. It was also the basis for improving the implementation of important policies on Vietnam’s climate change and green growth.

The report also helps donors with specific assessments of Vietnam in implementing its commitments at COP26 and it is expected to be a useful tool to effectively allocate funding and resources for sustainable development and green growth.
