(MPI) - Ministry of Planning and Investment in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) launched the “Yellow Pages of Digital Transformation Providers” in Hanoi on April 25, as part of supporting enterprises’ digital transformation program from 2021-2025.

This is the first database of digital transformation solutions for to be officially realised, providing information and solutions for businesses in digital transformation process.

Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Duy Dong said that digital transformation is believed to help enterprises expand and access markets to meet the needs of customers, improve their production and business efficiency, cut costs, and have precise and timely decisions to adapt to the new context of the digital economy. The yellow pages aims to provide useful information of reference for business to look for appropriate digital transformation solutions, thus helping them save costs and time.

Deputy Minister Tran Duy Dong pledged that the ministry will continue coordinating with the Ministry of Information and Communications, relevant ministries, sectors and associations to review and update more useful solutions for the business community. This database is also the foundation information for the activities in the next phase of the programme, which focus on in-depth guidance, help businesses to apply digital transformation solutions with support from the State budget (according to the Law on support for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) and other legal social resources.

Trevor Hublin, Deputy Director of USAID in Vietnam Office of Economic Growth and Governance said the Yellow Pages of Digital Transformation Providers is not only a list of solution providers, but providers have also committed to accompanying the programme to come up with the most favourable solutions for SMEs.

SMEs nationwide can easily seek for solution providers matching their requirements. This is a typical example of sustainable solutions that the MPI with USAID and the private sector support SMEs in their digital transformation path, Hublin added.

The “Yellow Pages of Digital Transformation Providers” is a publication to help businesses choose appropriate digital transformation solutions. To build the yellow pages, experts of the programme reviewed and classified information through three steps: conduct criteria and survey questions; invite digital transformation providers nationwide to participate; and select 40 businesses that providing popular digital transformation solutions for businesses.

Four professional groups of digital transformation solutions are highlighted in the yellow pages: general solution for many fields and industries (56%); production solution (14%); solutions for infrastructure and information management (10%), and specific solutions for healthcare, petroleum, transportation and logistics and traceability (20%).
