(MPI) - Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung on October 22 handed over appointment decisions to Nguyen Duc Tam, Director General of the ministry’s Department of National Economic Issues as new Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, according to Decision No 1199/QD-TTg October 17, 2024.

Speaking at the event, Minister Dung congratulate Tam on his new appointment and said that this is both the honor for him and the ministry. In the last two terms, the MPI has developed seven deputy ministers from internal resource, demonstrating the continuous efforts, solidarity and unity in completing tasks, their pioneering role in innovation, reform, development, and a great responsibility before the Party, State and people.

He expressed his hope that the newly appointed deputy minister will continue to promote the ministry’s tradition and the spirit of renewal, and leverage his experiences to meet requirements in the new situation so that the MPI continues to take the lead in innovating and advising on socio-economic development.

New MPI Deputy Minister Tam said that the appointment is both an important encouragement, great honor, and e responsibility and obligation for him in the upcoming journey.

He affirmed his commitments to doing his best, constantly learning and being dedicated in new tasks, and joining hands with others to enhance the spirit of responsibility, creativity, dare to think, dare to act, and meet the practical requirements in the new situation./.
